I believe that Blue Hills Veterinary Hospital saved by boy in so many ways… eyes… From his eyes to his skin, Dr Lynn & her team were incredible with their wide-ranging options offered to us for my Dane (both medically scientific and homeopathic); and their genuine compassion + wonderful ‘client (dog!) bedside mannerisms’ really helped to calm a rather nervy big dog! They also healed my girl’s leg perfectly after a freak accident. All in all, I would go back to them ANY time with ANY animal of mine, equine or canine!
There is no other place I would take my animals than BHVH. They are truly one in a million and I am so thankful to have found them some 12 or so years ago. Having horses cats dogs bunnies cockatoos and dragons; they are like my kids and only take them to the best. There has been happy times and sad times when you have to say good by to a beloved pet and they do it in such a way that you know they go peacefully with love while they slip away in your arms.

We have been patients of BHVC since it opened in 1987/88. No matter where we lived – Randjesfontein, Carlswald, Kyalami and now Lonehill, we have never changed. I now pass 5 vets on my way. Between the late Dr Rick Massey, Dr Angela Rogers and Drs Tim and Lynne Hepplestone, our horses and dogs have always had the best care and treatment. I like to think we are family!!
Horses African Hawk, Jaffna, Supreme Commander and Cherry. Dogs Fletcher, Roxy, Fatty, Smiler, Jessica, Hannibal, Buffy, Hamish, Holly and Homer.
Dr Lynne has been truly wonderful to us in her treatment of our beagle’s cancer. Nothing was ever too much, she always answers all my unending questions with kindness and compassion. All the doctors and nurses, and admin staff, and kennelmen are so lovely and kind.
I will never take my beagles anywhere else – I feel that they are in the best possible hands at BHVH and I highly recommend BHVH to anyone looking for excellent vet care, whether an emergency, routine or specialist care.

Absolutely the best veterinary Hospital I have ever had the privilege of going to. The staff and doctors are genuinely kind and caring .Dr Carlo operated on my ‘old man’ Jack Russell who had a broken leg and did an outstanding job in addition she phoned on a daily basis to update us on his progress. I can’t say enough about ALL the staff who were helpful, sympathetic and caring which is very rare these days. Thank you so much. Would definitively recommend them!
